Our emergency election protection excursion takes us today deep into the weeds of Georgia.  

 

As we face the most critical pair of US Senate runoffs in our nation’s history, we take on the details on exactly how this election will be conducted and how it must be protected. 

 

We start with RAY MCCLENDON, political director of the Atlanta NAACP, which is at the heart of the all-important voter turnout. 

 

 Ray has been coordinating the critical Get Out The Vote campaigns meant to raise the turnout among the African-American, Hispanic and Asian-American communities.  

 

His success at bringing citizens to the polls will determine control of the United States Senate.

 

He is followed by the legendary MARILYN MARKS and LIZ THROOP of the Coalition for Good Governance.  

 

The CGG has led the way in plumbing the depths of how Georgia’s election apparatus has been manipulated to serve the interests of the entrenched elite.

 

In particular we focus on the entirely extraneous ballot marking devices foisted on the system by the secretary of state.  

 

These machines make the voting process unnecessarily complex and vulnerable to hacking.  We need to know them inside & out!

In the midst of this historic call, we get two major pieces of news:  Trump has released funds for the Biden transition, and Sen. Diane Feinstein will step down from the minority chair of Senate Judiciary Committee.  

 

 

The fate of the US Senate now turns on two high-profile races in Georgia.  Getting out the vote along with protecting the vote count are at the core of the American future.

 

We cover this hallowed ground in our GRASSROOTS EMERGENCY ELECTION PROTECTION ZOOM #28.

 

We begin with the great ANDREA MILLER, whose People Demanding Action is leading the grassroots Get-Out-The-Vote movement on the ground in Georgia.

In our Grassroots Emergency Election Protection Coalition Zoom #27 we go all-out to explore the realities of the upcoming special elections in Georgia that will choose two US Senators and a member of the state’s Public Service Commission.

These two Senate seats will decide who will control the Congressional Upper Chamber.  Both are run-offs.  And both bring with them extremely complex challenges for election protection activists.

We are joined by legendary civil rights activists REVEREND GERALD DURLEY and REVEREND LEO WOODBURY.  We are also joined the Atlanta NAACP’s Political Director RAY MCCLENDON, as well as ALAN MINSKY, Political Director of Progressive Democrats of America.

We run the gamut in this gathering of Georgia’s voter registration, vote by mail, ballot counting and other issues.  The January 6 process will be controlled by the election boards of Georgia’s 159 counties.  About 19 of them contain some 77% of the African-American voters in Georgia, a population that accounts for about 30% of the state’s overall electorate.

Overall Georgia 2021 will become a generic test case for the ability of an informed citizenry to conduct a truly free, fair and accurate accounting of the will of a state’s population.  We will continue with this in-depth exploration right up to the day it happens.

Amy Barrett on the US Supreme Court has given Trump a clearer pathway to stealing the White House.

 

We begin our Grassroots Emergency Election Protection Coalition zoom #23 with a stirring invocation from CHASE IRON EYES, world-renown leader of the epic Indigenous fight against the Dakota Pipeline.

 

Chase and TATONKA BRICA also explain the official barriers meant to prevent Indigenous citizens from casting ballots and having them counted.

 

The same is true for countless non-millionaire citizens of youth and color now facing the coordinated assault of an incumbent regime with no intent of handing over power, whatever the outcome of the 2020 election.

 

In this gathering we once again sort through the details of an election under assault:  potentially rigged ballot scanners from which digital images are being deleted; denial of safe, secure ballot drop boxes; delays on mail-in ballots; ballots wrongly printed and misdirected and much more.

 

We do celebrate our successes.  Voting in sports arenas is a massive success.  So is the rise of millennial and GenZ citizens as poll workers, poll watchers and actual voters.  A Ballotpalooza event with a hugely loyal following.  And much more.

 

But for now, we must all work through this last week of the world’s most critical election since Germany 1933.
