Unfortunately, we receive news during the zoom that the US Supreme Court has refused to uphold an Alabama lower court decision throwing out that state's horrific partisan re-districting.  But it’s a provisional ruling, so there’s hope.

We’re then led by the great JOEL SEGAL in an in-depth discussion of how to fight back against the Trump/Bannon fascist coup being staged now in the US.  

We’re also joined by HAL GINSBERG of Our Revolution, TATANKA BRICCA from the Romero Institute, MIKE HERSH from Progressive Democrats of America and many powerful others.

PDA / GREEP TOWN HALL TO SAVE AMERICAN DEMOCRACY

 

 

In the face of the Trump Cult’s fascist assault on American democracy, the Grassroots Emergency Election Protection Coalition has joined with the Progressive Democrats of America to present a uniquely powerful and comprehensive town hall.

 

The meeting—which drew more than 300 citizen participants—featured more than two dozen top-of-the-line intellectuals, organizers and activists offering their brilliance and their guidance on election protection.

 

We open with actress/activist MIMI KENNEDY and PDA Executive Director ALAN MINSKY with their deep insights into the forces attacking the remnants of our republic.

 

We’re then joined by ANDREA MILLER and RAY MCCLENDON, creators of the crucial “Georgia Way,” which against all conceivable odds turned two US Senate seats in Georgia to progressive campaigners who unseated Mitch McConnell.

NUKES COLLAPSING IN EUROPE WHILE RENEWABLES RISE EVERYWHERE


We’re joined by the great LINDA PENCE GUNTER from Beyond Nuclear to celebrate the rapid demise of atomic power in Germany. 

On December 31, 2021, Germany shut three of its remaining six reactors; the last three will shut December 31, 2022.

This means the world’s fourth-largest economy will be totally nuke free.

Meanwhile serious cracks in at least four French reactors threaten to shut that nation’s electricity supply in the midst of a very cold winter.

Worldwide as the epic failure of atomic power worsens, we see a massive rise in renewables.

From California the great TATONKA BRICCA tells us of the Green movement to completely convert the Golden State to 100% renewables.

But the fossil/nuclear industry is doing all it can to shut the spread of rooftop solar, which employs upwards of 50,000 and is providing cheap, safe, clean reliable energy statewide.

Tatonka also updates us on the critical move to make California a true democracy with protected election boards and transparent redistricting.

Solar taxes and other scams are being thrown at the solar industry by utility companies fearful of losing their monopolies.
