GREEGREE #127 starts with the great ANDREA MILLER of the Center for Common Ground as she explains her legendary organization’s grassroots work in the upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court race.
Because the Court in WI is evenly divided (3-3) between progressives v. conservatives, this oddly timed (April 3) election will have huge impact.
As Andrea explains, a woman’s right to choose is on the line, as is redistricting, voter registration and much more in a state that could well decide the 2024 presidential campaign.
We hear further from KARLA SAND in Minnesota, who gives important detail on the unexpected victory of KEITH ELLISION for the AG office in Minnesota.
DR. RUTH STRAUSS asks Andrea about the Virginia election that has now sent the state’s first woman of color to the US Congress.
DOROTHY REIK and CYNTHIA PAPERMASTER also add to our discussion, in particular about the potential US Senate candidacy of Rep. Barbara Lee, the only Congressperson to vote again the Afghan War.

NY VOTING LAWS, BRIBERY & CHEMICAL NIGHTMARES IN OHIO, OUR REVOLUTION, PERU, E-CARS
Our Jam-packed GREEGREE #126 starts with NY’s JULIE WIENER reporting from the NY legislature on hackable voting machines.
Ohio’s RACHEL COYLE tells us about the astounding trial in Columbus about the $61 million a nuclear utility slipped to the speaker of the Ohio House to get a $1 billion bailout for two atomic reactors.
The question, says Rachel, is whether in the world of Citizen’s United, it is perfectly legal to buy (or rent) a state legislature.
“You couldn’t write a movie better than this,” she says. It’s a trial to legalize bribery, with major national repercussions.
PACO FABIAN then tells us about the successful and impactful progressive campaigning of OUR REVOLUTION.
We merge in the possibility of using referenda to help get out the grassroots vote, particularly on the issues of Choice, Gerrymandering, Marijuana and Expanding Medicaid.
Our Revolution also focuses on raising the minimum wage, as was tried in California, demanding clearer messaging.
LORENZO CANIZARES gives us the news from Peru, where a Revolution is definitely not being televised.

HE FEDS HAVE ATTACKED INDEPENDENT CAMPAIGNS; THE RABBI CELEBRATES THE EARTH
At GREEGREE #125 Dr. Jill Stein, the Green Party’s 2016 Presidential candidate, schools us in how the Federal Elections Commission protects America’s duopoly.
Stein is being PERSONALLY sued by the FEC for an independent campaign dating to seven years ago. It’s an astounding story of fascism in action with serious implications for grassroots campaigns going forward.
RAY MCCLENDON of the Georgia NAACP and co-convenor JOEL SEGAL confirm the need to transform how we connect with grassroots donors and volunteers to challenge the duopoly’s unyielding power.
“We need publicly financed elections, period,” says Segal.
With Stein’s terrible experience as background, the FEC must be changed to a non-partisan operation. “It’s all about the oligarchy,” says Stein.
TATANKA BRICCA tells us about Exxon now pouring trillions of dollars into Swiss “non-profits” to hide their money while promoting fossil/nuclear fuels which destroy the Earth.

Camilla then introduces TIMOTHY SCHOECHLE, who talk about the utility-sponsored debacle of “smart meters,” net metering and their utter collective failure.
Tim also talks about micro-grids and alternatives to centralized energy generation.

In Green Grassroots Election Protection zoom #122 we pay tribute to pioneer election protection mainstay CLIFF ARNEBECK, who has just passed..
This heroic Ohio attorney joined with BOB FITRAKIS, CLINT CURTIS, JULIE WIENER & others who demanded an end to the 2004 electoral fraud that wrongly gave GEORGE W. BUSH a 2d term.
Clint gives us a tour of the paper ballot issue and questions the use of computerized ballot images to count the vote.
We then hear from DEEPA DRIVER and VINCENT DeSTEFANO about the situation with JULIAN ASSANGE.
Deepa delivers a brilliant talk on the absolute need for protected journalism and a public funnel for critical documents.
She is briefly joined by TATANKA BRICCA who promises to tell us in a later session about LEONARD PELTIER.
